Prof. Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska is a professor of economic sciences. She is an outstanding scholar whose main thrust of research is on strategic management and development strategies of enterprises, especially in the high-tech sector, and inter-organizational relations: cooperation and coopetition. Recently, she has also turned her focus to the problem of, broadly defined in research, knowledge valorization. As she puts it, 'It is the process of creating social and economic value from knowledge. It combines contributions from diverse areas and sectors, and transforms data, know-how, and research findings into sustainable knowledge-based products, services, practices and policies that benefit the society, as recommended by the EU Council of 2022.

During the first meeting of the Committee on Organization and Management Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the professor presented her agenda. She explained,

'I emphasized, first and foremost, the extensive support for research in the area of management and quality sciences through the mapping of research trends and gaps in specific sub-disciplines. I pointed out the need to develop a management barometer, a tool to assess the current state of research in the field of management sciences at each university. Competitions for the best research papers will be continued, as will efforts to intensify cooperation with scholarly institutions, foreign universities, and the socio-economic environment. Attention will also be given to the development of the Academy of Management through the implementation of mini-lectures, workshops, and podcasts, to be disseminated to the community. Popularization of science stimulates innovation and societal advancement, and can inspire young people to opt for careers in research.
