The maintenance grant may be awarded to a student/doctoral student of Lodz University of Technology who is in a difficult financial situation, and whose documented monthly income per 1 person in the family in 2020 did not exceed PLN 1,051 net (in case of changes in income that occurred in 2021 and 2022 they are also taken into account). In particularly justified cases, the student / doctoral student may receive a maintenance grant in an increased amount.
The grants are given for an academic year.
The income on which the amount of the maintenance grant depends should be properly documented by attaching to the application certificates from the Tax Office or other institutions, depending on the financial situation in the student's/doctoral student's family.
The rules of determining student's income and the way of documenting their financial situation are described in the appropriate (opens in new window)regulations. Students are also obliged to use the PoliSocjal generator, created especially for this purpose and available on the Student Government.
The amount of the maintenance grant at Lodz University of Technology:
- The amount of the maintenance grant is the difference between the above-mentioned amount and the amount of monthly net income per capita in the student's/doctoral student's family in 2019 and the rates are as follows:
- maximum PLN 1051 per month and minimum PLN 200 per month
- The amount by which the grant may be increased is PLN 400 per month.
Specific maintenance grant rates are specified in a relevant (opens in new window) announcement.
-
NOTE: if the monthly income per 1 person in the student's/doctoral student's family does not exceed the amount of PLN 528 net, the student/doctoral student is obliged to submit, together with the application for a maintenance grant, an up-to-date certificate from a social welfare center on the income and financial situation of the student and his/her family. When submitting an application for a certificate from a social welfare center, the student should refer to Article 88(4) of the Law on Higher Education and Science. A certificate in which, instead of data on the income and financial situation of the student and his/her family, there is information that the family has not applied for or does not benefit from social welfare benefits has the same consequences as failure to present a certificate on the income and financial situation of the student and his/her family. Failure to present the certificate results in a refusal to be given the grant.
Application submission:
Dates and methods of submitting applications for a grant are to be found in a relevant(opens in new window)announcement.
- Note: If you are collecting a certificate of earnings from the Tax Office, you must submit a request to the office for a certificate with the content required by the university, according to Form A.
Applications for the above-mentioned benefit should be generated through the webdziekanat. The necessary templates of the required documentation are also to be found there.
