In the 2023 university ranking of the educational magazine "Perspektywy", TUL ranks fifth among technical universities and ninth among public universities in Poland. We are the fourth most popular university in Poland according to the report of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Over the past year, Lodz University of Technology has been ranked in all four of the most prestigious international rankings. TUL was ranked among 32 Polish universities in the international Times Higher Education World University Ranking, among 19 Polish universities in the QS World University Ranking and among 37 included in the US News Best Global Universities Ranking; in ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, it is listed in the Energy Science & Engineering discipline.
In addition, in 2021, Lodz University of Technology was classified for the first time in THE Impact Ranking which takes account of the university activities in terms of implementing 17 Sustainable Development Goals. TUL's debut was successful – the University was ranked in the high 201-300 range in the world ranking for its activities towards Goal 8 Economic Growth and Decent Work. TUL also competed in Goals 3., 9., 10. and 17.
