The competition had a three-stage course. The first one was application. The second part included the participation of the project members in online trainings and the performance of thematically defined tasks. During the last stage of the competition - the final gala - GUST competed with 10 projects. - Our activity and a very high score achieved in the stage including a cycle of trainings and related tasks was appreciated by the jury. The GUST project took 1st place in the competition, receiving a cash prize - says proudly Anna Baszczyńska, GUST project leader.
The aim of the competition is to select pro-ecological solutions, created by students of Polish universities. The competition was organized by the Institute of Sustainable Energy.
The GUST project is an undertaking associating students from various fields and faculties. The main goal of the project is to construct and improve the prototype of a home wind turbine. The aim of the project is to cover at least part of a household's daily electricity demand, as well as to contribute to reducing costs and increasing savings. The innovation of this project lies already in the very idea of reducing the wind turbine for use at home. Moreover, its modularity, the use of 3D printing and ecological materials are also innovative.
