The hip joint is one of the elements in the human body which is necessary for efficient human movement. The hip joint may be exposed to traumatic episodes or diseases, which necessitate its replacement with a medical implant. One of the key requirements for hip joint prosthesis implantation is its location to be identical with respect to the initial state, i.e., the state of normal ability.

This device, designed and developed by a team from the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Engineering, with its compact structure, easy installation and low price, facilitates hip joint position control.

This technology offers unique potential for transplantology and medical sector.
