How to deal with your emotions during the coronavirus pandemic?

- Many of the problems we have encountered during the coronavirus epidemic undermine the quality of our daily lives. We all experience negative emotions in different situations. Letting these emotions show is nothing to be ashamed of, but we should also try not to succumb to panic - dr Joanna Sztobryn-Giercuszkiewicz, a psychologist and head of the Office for Persons with Disabilities (BON) at TUL.

booklet called Coronavirus - how to deal with it?

Lodz University of Technology makes every effort to support its students and staff in distressing situations such as the current coronavirus pandemic. Specifically for this purpose, an on-line psychological counselling service in Polish and English has been launched. You can contact the psychologist on duty and receive psychological assistance.

Also, a booklet called Coronavirus - how to deal with it? has been compiled by a team of BON TUL psychologists: dr n. med. Patryk Stecz, mgr Karolina Pac, and dr Joanna Sztobryn-Giercuszkiewicz, the editor. The publication provides a wealth of useful information concerning the daily life at the university and at home.

The booklet offers advice on how to reduce stress, cope with work and studies. You can find out about how your well-being may be affected during the time of crisis, and about everyday self-care routines.

You may also want to take advantage of psychological counselling over the phone which in Łódź is provided by the Vis Salutis Foundation, phone: 888 960 980, 888 900 980, and the Regional Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights: phone: 506 803 673 (support for both children and adults).
