Radial compressors protection systems which are available on the market suffer from technological limitations and their maintenance is costly.

The technology developed by the team at the Institute of Turbomachinery allows using the compressor within a broad scope – also in conditions that are very close to surge. The system is cheaper and simpler than antisurge solutions available n the market. It also allows identifying optimal operating parameters of the machine, and, consequently, reduces running costs.

The technology may be applicable in the manufacture and operation of radial compressors.
