The team of experts from the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Haut Conseil de l'évaluation de la recherche et de l'enseignement supérieur - HCERES) highly rated the rich educational offer of TUL, adjusted to the needs of the job market as well as the university's efforts to refine its curricula.
Professor Sławomir Wiak, rector of the University, has emphasized the fact that ‘the HCERES quality label increases the visibility and attractiveness of universities in the European Research Area. It facilitates membership of international research teams and networks, and consortia. For students and the socio-economic environment of the university it is also a validation of its credibility’.
In the final report, the evaluation team emphasized the broad scope of TUL's cooperation with the socio-economic environment and the fact that TUL is a highly regarded partner. They noted a very well developed network of international student exchange, involvement of the academic community in building the culture of quality and raising awareness of the principles of professional ethics. They also expressed their appreciation for the great engagement of the university's staff, students, and partners in the pursuit of joint projects.
HCERES is a respected international organization, highly regarded by the academic community. It is a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and is also listed in the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR). It has experience in institutional and program accreditation around the world.
HCERES accreditation is financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education under the POWER Foreign Accreditation project. The aim is for Polish HEIs to obtain foreign accreditation and certificates from professional boards, which increase their international competitiveness. The EU funding for the project is 84.28%, with the remaining amount provided by the state budget.
