American researchers John P. A. Ioannidis of Stanford University and Kevin W. Boyack of SciTech Strategies together with Jeroen Baas of Elsevier Publishing have created a publicly available database of the best scientists in terms of the impact of their citations of publications.
Their work, entitled Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators, was published in the PLOS Biology journal, part of a non-profit open access publishing house. Link to the article
In 2% of the best scientists in their research discipline there are more than 159,000 people from universities and institutes around the world. The authors have created separate tables on the impact of citations throughout the researcher's career and for 2019.
The prestigious ranking includes 19 names of researchers associated with Lodz University of Technology.
