Project: The Heritage of Science. University Collections and the Development of Local Communities
In 2023, the Museum of Lodz University of Technology participated in a project organized by the Association of University Museums titled ‘The Heritage of Science. University Collections and Local Community Development’, aimed at promoting Polish academic heritage and presenting university museums and collections in short documentary films. Between 2023 and 2025, the film crew visited university museums and collections throughout Poland: in Białystok, Gdańsk, Kraków, Lublin, Łódź, Opole, Poznań, Warsaw and Wrocław. Fifty documentaries about Polish academic heritage were made, and the Museum of the Lodz University of Technology is among the museums presented.
The project ‘Scientific Heritage. University Collections and Local Community Development’ was co-financed from the State Budget. Social Responsibility of Science Program – Popularization of Science and Promotion of Sport by the Minister of Education and Science.
