Three projects involving researchers from Lodz University of Technology (TUL) have been selected among four initiatives recommended for funding in the third edition of the M‑ERA.NET 3 programme. The research covers innovative materials for medicine, environmentally friendly foundry technologies, and intelligent façade systems for energy‑efficient construction.

Among the winners of the 6th edition of the “Student Research Clubs Create Innovations” programme were three clubs from Lodz University of Technology, which will be carrying out their projects over the next 12 months. The Minister of Science and Higher Education awarded funding to 120 student ideas selected from 400 entries submitted to the competition.

The report “Industry X.0 – Analysis of the Industrial Sector in Lodz and the Metropolitan Area” was prepared by a team of experts from Lodz University of Technology on commission from the City of Lodz (Invest in Lodz). This comprehensive analysis was presented on 26 February 2026 at the Faculty of Organization and Management. Participants included, among others, Rector of Lodz University of Technology Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management Prof. Karol Klimczak, and Director of Invest in Lodz Mateusz Sipa.

The Language Centre of Lodz University of Technology has once again proved that the standards of foreign language teaching at our university are among the world leaders. Following a rigorous inspection carried out on 27-28 October 2025 by the international organisation Eaquals, the entity received confirmation of accreditation, achieving excellent results in many key areas.

Prof. Stanisław Bielecki, an outstanding scientist and Rector of Lodz University of Technology from 2008 to 2016, has been appointed Ambassador of the World Bioeconomy Association (WBA) for Poland and the Baltic States.
This distinction is a natural consequence of his many years of scientific, organizational, and international activity dedicated to the development of industrial biotechnology and the bioeconomy. The role combines representing the idea of a global bioeconomy with actively supporting cooperation among science, industry, and public administration in the Central and Eastern European and Baltic regions.

Lodz University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (USUST) from Dnipro. The agreement was signed on Friday, January 16, in the Rector’s Office by Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of TUL, and Prof. Kostiantyn Sukhyi, Rector of USUST.

The university is actively involved in the international “Belt and Road Initiative”. Its activities focus on the development of academic exchange, joint research projects, and the transfer of knowledge and technology between universities in different countries.

From June 23 to 27, 2025, the Faculty of Management and Production Engineering at Lodz University of Technology hosted the on-site part of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled “Practical Solutions for Managing Challenges in Industry Through Simulations”. The event brought together students from various countries within the ECIU network, who spent a week tackling real-world managerial challenges in a simulated business environment.
