The publication of the results of the latest edition of the QS Europe rankings brought good news: Lodz University of Technology performed significantly well in the Outbound Exchange Students category and yet again was ranked 1st in the country and 89th in Europe.
A gold medal was awarded to Lodz University of Technology for the innovation ‘PLA composite, its fabrication technology, and its applications’ (patent number PCT/EP2024/052675) at the prestigious EUROINVENT 2024 European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation held in Iasi, Romania.

As they say, time flies. Last week (2-4.07), for the tenth time, a regatta was held at the TUL sailing depot in Roganty. Twelve crews, each comprised of TUL faculty and other university units’ staff, raced for the rector’s cup.

The Summer School at the University of Aveiro, part of the Math3DGeoVR project, attracted 25 students from five universities: Lodz University of Technology, the University of Silesia, the University of Aveiro, the University of Zilina and Tartu Ulikool, as well as 13 academic teachers. It was an intense, but energizing and growth-oriented week. The event took place from June 17 to 21, 2024.

The day began with the online publication of the results of the 25 edition of the ranking compiled by the Education Foundation ‘Perspektywy’. Lodz University of Technology moved up one place and is now the eight best academic university in Poland. Tul kept its position from last year and remains the fifth best technical university in the country.
The Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology (ISD TUL) has established cooperation with the Łódzkie Voivodeship local government and, as a result, has been granted earmarked funding for 2024. The funds are intended for doctoral scholarships for young researchers who, while studying at ISD TUL, pursue innovative research projects contributing in a crucial way to the technological advancement of the region of Łódź.
Prof. dr hab. inż. Jacek Moll, an outstanding cardiac surgeon, well-respected physician, true artist in merging medicine and engineering, and a compassionate soul was awarded an honorary doctorate by Lodz University of Technology. A heart-warming albeit solemn ceremony, attended by many distinguished guests, was held on June 19.
