Newly admitted international students have arrived at TUL from all corners of the world, including Asia (South Korea, India, and Kazakhstan), Africa (Morocco, Egypt, and Zimbabwe), and even South America (Colombia and Brazil). Interest from European applicants has also grown, with students from Italy, Sweden, Slovakia, and Georgia joining this year. They will study in both Polish and English at different faculties, including TUL's International Faculty of Engineering.

The universities of the Łódzkie Porozumienie Akademickie (Łódź Academic Alliance – ŁPA) collectively inaugurated the new academic year at the Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic Hall in Łódź. Attendees included university authorities, members of the Senates, faculty, students, and doctoral candidates from the six Lodz universities: Lodz University of Technology, University of Lodz, Medical University of Lodz, Lodz Film School, Academy of Fine Arts, and University of Music.

The ceremonial session of the Lodz University of Technology Alumni Association (SWPŁ) took place with the participation of representatives from the rector's and dean's offices, as well as individuals representing city and regional authorities. The meeting, attended by dozens of alumni who filled the auditorium at the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering (EEIA), was chaired by dr hab. inż. Jacek Szer, university professor.

Illegal manipulation of food is typically an organized activity, affecting consumers, state financial interests, and honest entrepreneurs alike. These activities are classified as food crime, occurring at all stages of food production, distribution, and sale.

The newly signed agreement between Lodz University of Technology and the Łukasiewicz Research Network aims to accelerate the transfer of innovation and new technologies to the business sector. The agreement was formalized during the New Mobility Congress at EXPO Łódź, with the rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, and the president of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, Hubert Cichocki, signing the document.

The findings of the Photonics Lab at the Institute of Physics, Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics (FTIMS) have been published in Nature Photonics and Nature Materials.

Prof. Krzysztof Matyjaszewski, one of the most influential chemists in the world, particularly in the field of polymer chemistry, has been awarded the title of Honorary Member of the Polish Chemical Society (PTChem).

The Institute of Applied Radiation Chemistry (MITR) at the Faculty of Chemistry hosted an international workshop from September 9-13, organized for the second time at the request and under the auspices of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA, UN). The scientific meeting, titled ‘Technical Meeting on Basic Radiation Chemistry in Polymer Modification’, focused on radiation chemistry and the technology of polymers.

The Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal took place in Alghero, Sardinia, where Grzegorz Brochocki, a student of Mechanical Engineering at Lodz University of Technology, represented Poland's national team. His solid performance helped the team secure 7th place in the tournament.

Lodz University of Technology, along with seven other Polish universities, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Poland in Silicon Valley Center for Science, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. This partnership aims to promote research outcomes and foster collaboration with industry, creating a bridge between Poland and the world-renowned Silicon Valley.

The past academic year has been highly successful for members of the Student Biotechnology Research Group Ferment. Not only did they actively engage in science promotion activities, but they also had the results of their research published in prestigious scientific journals. Their accomplishments have earned them awards and recognition within the academic community.

Prof. Tomasz Kubiak of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Lodz University of Technology has been appointed chairman of the Advisory Group for Research Infrastructure, composed of experts selected by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Lodz University of Technology is a consortium partner in the project JUMP: Joint University Challenge-Based Minor Program for Future Generation of Innovative Entrepreneurs. The consortium is composed of universities allied in the ECIU network: Universita Degli Studi di Trento (project lead), Institut National des Sciences Appliquees de Toulouse, and Linköpings Universitet.

Chromatography is one of the most important techniques for the chemical analysis of organic compounds and is extensively used in analytical laboratories across Poland and the global.
