Organized by the students of the Student Research Group 'Wentylator', the event also served to promote the degree programs offered in the field. It attracted high-school students who gathered outside the buildings of the BAIŚ Faculty, one of the day venues.

A highlight of the Day, the theme of which was Environmental Engineering in Construction for Years to Come!, was a competition to build a deck chair from elements of building installations. Participants were given 3.5 hours to complete their unconventional creative projects.

'15 companies pitched their tents, demonstration stands, and parked their mobile show trucks - customized vehicles to display their products. The products included innovative heating, cooling and ventilation systems, as well as equipment and solutions used in plumbing networks and installations from companies well-established on the Polish and global civil engineering market,' explained Robert Cichowicz, university professor, of the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Building Services, who provides guidance to the students in their activity. 'We aim to demonstrate that environmental engineers are of invaluable service to our planet and to future generations. It is also an excellent opportunity for our students to be exposed to the latest practical solutions.'

The deck chairs the students built were of two types: one made from metal and the other from plastic pieces. There were instructions that the student had to comply with. The supplies were provided by the Niczuk company and the final outcome were deck chairs built from tubes, fittings, profiles, and other elements.

The first prize was awarded to the team of Dominika Twardowska, Wiktoria Deskiewicz, Piotr Kempa, and Maciej Jagoda. The runners-up were Julia Lapies, Marta Kurzaj, Kajetan Witczak, and Barnaba Żurawski. And third in the top three were Adam Badek, Sylwia Szmiłyk, Szymon Szczepański, and Jan Łyszkowicz.
