Lodz University of Technology (TUL) has begun cooperation with Longdong University, a public higher education institution from Gansu Province, China. The university is actively involved in the international “Belt and Road Initiative”. Its activities focus on the development of academic exchange, joint research projects, and the transfer of knowledge and technology between universities in different countries.

On 1 December 2025, a seminar ‘Engineering for Security: Universities and Industry in Service of Defence’ was held in Brussels, organised by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation, the National Centre for Research and Development, and Business & Science Poland, in cooperation with European technical universities and representatives of the defence sector. Lodz University of Technology ranked 7th in Poland and 121st in Europe in the latest edition of EngiRank 2025 – the European Ranking of Engineering Studies, announced on December 1 in Brussels. The ranking covers 300 higher education institutions from 36 countries – including 21 Polish technical universities – and is based entirely on external data concerning the quality of research, cooperation with industry, patent activity, and participation in European programmes.

The results of the latest edition of the international QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026 have been announced. Lodz University of Technology (TUL) maintained its presence in the ranking, achieving the 381st position in Europe and ranking in the 1051-1060 range globally. In Poland, it was ranked 15th among 26 universities.

Representatives of institutions from nine countries met on 28–30 October to summarise the results of the FRONTSH1P project. It is one of only four projects in Europe addressing the circular economy in such a comprehensive manner, involving €18 million in funding and 35 partner institutions.

The agreement aims to strengthen academic contacts and promote joint scientific initiatives between the two institutions. The document, signed for five years with the possibility of extension, lays the foundation for building long-term relations between them.
