Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of Lodz University of Technology, received the Honorary Badge for Merits to the Lodz Voivodeship. The ceremonial gala took place at the Lodz Philharmonic.
As of today (14.11), the Gabriel oak tree is growing on Campus B. It was planted by Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, the Rector of TUL, and Professor Jerzy Barglik, the president of the Academy of Engineering in Poland. The event is associated with the Scientific Symposium and General Assembly of the Academy of Engineering in Poland, which will take place at Lodz University of Technology on December 19-20, 2024.
The awarding of an honorary doctorate is a prestigious recognition of a scientist’s outstanding achievements and contributions to advancing a particular field, a significant tradition in academic life. During a ceremonial session of the Senate, the honorary doctorate of Lodz University of Technology was conferred upon Prof. Bogusław Buszewski, an ordinary member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The laudatory address was delivered by the award’s promoter, Prof. Małgorzata Iwona Szynkowska-Jóźwik, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, and the degree was formally presented by the university’s Rector, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik.
