Lodz University of Technology (TUL) has begun cooperation with Longdong University, a public higher education institution from Gansu Province, China. The university is actively involved in the international “Belt and Road Initiative”. Its activities focus on the development of academic exchange, joint research projects, and the transfer of knowledge and technology between universities in different countries.

During the December Top1000 Science & Technology Expedition to Silicon Valley mission, scientists and innovators from Lodz University of Technology presented their most promising technologies in the United States. It was a significant visit to the place where groundbreaking technological and business solutions are born.

On 1 December 2025, a seminar ‘Engineering for Security: Universities and Industry in Service of Defence’ was held in Brussels, organised by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation, the National Centre for Research and Development, and Business & Science Poland, in cooperation with European technical universities and representatives of the defence sector. The event was attended by the rector of the Łódź University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik.

The Lodz University of Technology Foundation has awarded scholarships to the university’s most talented students for the thirteenth time, marking the culmination of its Scholarship Programme with a final gala.

Lodz University of Technology ranked 7th in Poland and 121st in Europe in the latest edition of EngiRank 2025 – the European Ranking of Engineering Studies, announced on December 1 in Brussels. The ranking covers 300 higher education institutions from 36 countries – including 21 Polish technical universities – and is based entirely on external data concerning the quality of research, cooperation with industry, patent activity, and participation in European programmes.

Lodz University of Technology will once again host an important event for the ECIU community. From 1 to 5 December 2025, our university will welcome the first edition of the ECIU Student Leadership Development Programme—an integration- and training-focused event dedicated to ECIU Student Ambassadors from all partner universities of the consortium.

The program is designed to combine the potential of Polish universities with the innovative ecosystem of Silicon Valley, effectively creating a bridge between the world of science, technology, and business.

The results of the latest edition of the international QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026 have been announced. Lodz University of Technology (TUL) maintained its presence in the ranking, achieving the 381st position in Europe and ranking in the 1051-1060 range globally. In Poland, it was ranked 15th among 26 universities.

Lodz University of Technology and the Foundation for the Development of the Education System invite you to the international conference "Joint and Double Programmes in Europe," which will bring together representatives of key European institutions, higher education experts, and university representatives from 17 countries in Lodz on November 26–27, 2025.

Representatives of institutions from nine countries met on 28–30 October to summarise the results of the FRONTSH1P project. It is one of only four projects in Europe addressing the circular economy in such a comprehensive manner, involving €18 million in funding and 35 partner institutions.

Lodz University of Technology (TUL) has established cooperation with Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). The agreement aims to strengthen academic contacts and promote joint scientific initiatives between the two institutions. The document, signed for five years with the possibility of extension, lays the foundation for building long-term relations between them.

Lodz University of Technology was visited by our distinguished graduate, Dr. Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, a Polish project astronaut at the European Space Agency (ESA) and participant in the IGNIS mission. The visit took place as part of the nationwide educational and scientific tour ‘IGNIS – Poland reaches for the stars’.
