Lodz University of Technology hosted the first meeting of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities of Technology (KRPUT) in this term, chaired by Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of TUL. This event was part of the celebrations marking the 80th jubilee of the university.
Scientists from TUL will implement seven grants in collaboration with researchers from the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). They will coordinate two projects with the acronyms Waves and ECIU RC. The total funding amounts to €57,000, approximately 250,000 PLN.
Scientists from Lodz University of Technology, in collaboration with BioStar PPHU Witold Krusz, are working to produce high-quality wheat bread using sourdough. They aim for the bread to have a rich aroma and flavor while improving the traditional technological process.

At its last meeting in 2024, the Senate of Lodz University of Technology decided to initiate proceedings for the conferral of the title of Doctor Honoris Causa upon Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Parliament. The supervisor of this process is the rector, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik.
The results of the National Science Centre (NCN) competitions have proven very beneficial for researchers at Lodz University of Technology. They will implement five projects in Opus 27 and five in Preludium 23, with a total value of nearly 9.4 million PLN.
The new year is off to a good start for the university. Two valuable historic buildings belonging to Lodz University of Technology have received over 17 million PLN for modernization. These are the villa of Reinhold Richter located at 6/8 Skorupki Street and the Scheilbler Family Palace Complex at 266/268 Piotrkowska Street.
