The Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) has distinguished Chemical Technology and Power Engineering degree programs by awarding them both Education Excellence Certificates.

The 13th edition of the SONATA BIS program turned out to be lucky for Lodz University of Technology. The National Science Centre awarded Dr. Marcin Gębski from the Photonics Team of the Institute of Physics more than 3.7 million PLN in funding for the implementation of the project: Semiconductor surface-emitting lasers with subwavelength grating mirrors MHCG.
The World University Championships in Speed Skating were held in Hamar, Norway. On the opening day of the event, the Poles performed outstandingly well, especially Natalia Jabrzyk and Marek Kania, 1000m distance champions! 'We have double gold, so that is something to be happy about', Jabrzyk, the new university world champion, did not beat around the bush. But that was not the end of medals won by the Polish athletes.
Michalina Zając, a graduate from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, was awarded first place in the SIMP Competition for the best diploma dissertation in the field of mechanical engineering in the academic year 2022/2023.

The Centrum Mistrzostwa Informatycznego (CMI) program was one of the largest projects in education. Lodz University of Technology, the leader of the project, partnered with the universities of technology in Gdańsk, Warsaw, Wrocław, with the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, and with the I Love Math and Digital Dialog associations. Although the project is now completed, the efforts to advance the development of young IT talents have not ceased.

The modern world constantly needs new environmental cleanup technologies. Hydrogels, which are being researched in the "Caught in the Net" project by Dawid Bernatowicz, a participant in the 2nd edition of the E2Top program for talented students, can be such a tool.
This year's edition of the European Students Assembly is set to be held in April at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. A group of female students from Lodz University of Technology have been invited to join the session.

Dr. Zeinab Qazanfarzadeh has been a postdoctoral researcher at the International Centre for Research on Innovative Bio-based Materials (ICRI-BioM) since April 2022. She is currently in the Polymers and Biomaterials research group and has been actively involved in research on the valorization of agro-industrial waste for active and intelligent packaging.

The National Center for Research and Development has announced the results of the evaluation of 120 proposals submitted in a call under the European Social Fund 2021-2027. 21 projects successfully underwent assessment and were recommended for funding, one of which had been submitted by Lodz University of Technology.
