Among the 29 applications submitted in July by young scientists from the Lodz University of Technology to the National Science Centre for the MINIATURA 8 competition, as many as 13 received funding for conducting research or study visits.
Is it possible to create fully natural cosmetics enclosed in biodegradable packaging? Yes, and this challenge has been taken on by Karina Skura, a student of the 2023/24 academic year at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences. She is the secretary of the BioMass Student Scientific Research Group. As a young researcher, she is carrying out scientific projects that have resulted in publications and a patent application for an eco-friendly packaging material.

During a ceremonial session of the Senate, the honorary doctorate of Lodz University of Technology was conferred upon Prof. Bogusław Buszewski, an ordinary member of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
