'We will invest more than 20 million złoty to revise and to design new fields of study to serve the needs of the economy. This is yet another achievement by our university', commented rector professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, who heads the project. ' 'With these funds, we will adapt Lodz University of Technology offerings to support economic development, green and digital transformation.’

The revision process will extend to the curricula of 7 currently offered degree programs in Business, Society and Technology, Mechanics and Machine Building, Electrical Engineering, Design, Food and Nutrition Manager, Architecture, Papermaking and Printing. A new Digital Management degree course will be designed. All of these programs will incorporate elements of cyber security and AI.

As professor Krzysztof Jóźwik explains,

'The project assumes activities in fields of study that match the needs of the economy and the job market. Furthermore, it aims to build up skills and competence of the staff involved in the education process in these fields. Approximately 1 200 students and the staff in charge of the education process in these degree programs will be the sole beneficiaries in the project.’

Additional measures will be taken to reduce dropout, e.g., compensatory instruction in mathematics, technical mechanics, physics, drawing, identification of textiles, ESL and other foreign languages, soft skills training, tutoring, and psychological (academic/clinical) support.

Students participating in the project will be taken from the enrollments for three consecutive academic years starting from 2025/26.
