The universities of the Łódzkie Porozumienie Akademickie (Łódź Academic Alliance – ŁPA) collectively inaugurated the new academic year at the Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic Hall in Łódź. Attendees included university authorities, members of the Senates, faculty, students, and doctoral candidates from the six Lodz universities: Lodz University of Technology, University of Lodz, Medical University of Lodz, Lodz Film School, Academy of Fine Arts, and University of Music.
In the past decade, there has been a growing degradation in food quality, which has compromised food safety due to tampering with the composition of food products. Illegal manipulation of food is typically an organized activity, affecting consumers, state financial interests, and honest entrepreneurs alike. These activities are classified as food crime, occurring at all stages of food production, distribution, and sale.

Prof. Krzysztof Matyjaszewski, one of the most influential chemists in the world, particularly in the field of polymer chemistry, has been awarded the title of Honorary Member of the Polish Chemical Society (PTChem).

Lodz University of Technology is a consortium partner in the project JUMP: Joint University Challenge-Based Minor Program for Future Generation of Innovative Entrepreneurs. The International Cooperation Centre at Lodz University of Technology (TUL) is spearheading the innovative project ACE – Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education. This project, developed in collaboration with partners from Ireland, Serbia, Estonia, Denmark, and Germany, aims to strengthen social responsibility of higher education institutions and foster social innovation and the development of local communities. With the support of the Erasmus+ program, the university has secured €400,000 for its implementation.

Education reform, addressing key factors for advancement, and mentoring are essential components of this process. Amidst the scenic beauty of Faro, Portugal, a remarkable event unfolded from July 9 to 13, part of the EQUNI project. This unique summer school brought together students, academics, and administrative staff from Lodz University of Technology, the University of Groningen, and the University of Algarve. A breakthrough in European healthcare systems appears ever closer because of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) applications. The European Union, through its Interregional Investment in Innovation instrument granted more than €5.8 million from the prestigious Horizon Europe program on the project called VR Health Champions. Lodz University of Technology is one of the 17 project partners who include universities and EIT Health companies from Portugal, Italy, Poland, Latvia, Germany, Hungary and Belgium.

A team of researchers from the Voxel Research Lab of the Institute of Mechatronics and Information Systems, TUL, led by dr inż. Grzegorz Zwoliński, has embarked on a groundbreaking adventure called VRChem (Innovative Integration of Virtual Reality in Chemical Engineering Education). The Ersamus + funded project aims to incorporate virtual reality (VR) technology into university-level chemistry teaching and learning.
