During the last meeting of the Committee on Architecture and Urban Planning of the Polish Academy of Sciences (16.05), elections were held for the new authorities for the 2024-2027 term. Prof. Marek Pabich, Director of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning at Lodz University of Technology, was elected Vice-Chair of the Committee.

Prof. Marek Pabich has been associated with the Committee for three terms, which testifies to his long-standing commitment and experience in the field of architecture and urban planning. His election as Vice-Chair is a recognition of his contribution to the work of the Committee and an appreciation of his competence and knowledge, which will now be further utilized in his new, responsible role.

The Committee on Architecture and Urban Planning of the Polish Academy of Sciences was established in 1952. It currently has 41 members. The scope of activity of the Committee includes the design and construction of buildings and their complexes, as well as related spatial planning, urban planning, landscape design, interior architecture, product design details, creation and preservation of the natural, built and cultural environment.
