On the first meeting of the Committee of Chemical and Process Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the 2024-2028 term, elections were held for the Presidium. Prof. Hanna Kierzkowska-Pawlak, Head of the Department of Molecular Engineering at Lodz University of Technology, was unanimously elected as the Vice-Chair of the Committee.

Her election as Vice-Chair is a recognition of her contributions to the development of chemical engineering and an appreciation of her competence and knowledge, which will now be further utilized in her new role.

The Committee of Chemical and Process Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences currently has 30 members. The Committee's task is to chart the development path for the entire discipline, which is of great importance for the advancement of chemical engineering in Poland. It achieves this by coordinating research, educational, and organizational activities in the field of chemical engineering, as well as supporting cooperation with industry and business.
