The inauguration of the first edition of the programme Excellence in Engineering: Talents in Research with Opportunities (E2TOP) took place on 10 March. We met seven of the most talented first-year students from various fields of study at TUL.
Natalia Jabrzyk, a student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering (BAIŚ) of Lodz University of Technology, won the gold medal in the women's team cross-country skiing at the World Academic Championships in Lake Placid (USA).

International Cooperation Centre successfully applied to the Welcome to Poland programme run by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and has obtained almost 400 thousand PLN for initiatives supporting the university internationalisation. 181 projects applied for co-financing at NAWA, of which only 39 have been selected for implementation, including Lodz University of Technology.
Lodz University of Technology celebrated the 76th anniversary of its foundation. The special session (24.05) of TUL Senate took place in the historic Sołtan Auditorium for the last time. There was a limited number of invited guests in the auditorium.
Research conducted by Professor Katarzyna Pernal from the Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics (FTIMS) is highly regarded by the scientific community. Researchers carrying out the Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain for Product Quality and Safety System (SALUS) project will help answer this question. The work is led by Assoc. For the first time in Poland, on May 14, the Sports Bay, TUL will host the finals of the F1 in Schools Poland world competition, under the patronage of Formula 1. As the organizers say, it is the largest and most exciting STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) competition in the world.
By the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland of 16 February, Małgorzata Matusiak of the TUL’s Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design was awarded the title of professor of engineering sciences in the discipline of material engineering.
