Today we turn our attention to people employed at Lodz University of Technology who have been active in public service for years. It's your day. This year's number of winners is impressive and fills me with joy. This is proof of appreciation for the commitment, work and passion of everyone whom we will soon ask to the podium - said the rector of TUL, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, at the beginning of his speech, and added - Thank you very much for choosing our university as a place to develop your career.
The Golden Cross of Merit was received by Dr inż. Marian Cłapa, the Silver Cross of Merit by Prof. Dariusz Bieliński, the Bronze Cross of Merit was awarded to Prof. Anna Fabijańska and Dr hab. inż. Ewa Korzeniewska, TUL Prof.
A total of 105 people received medals for long-term service: 39 employees received gold medals, 37 silver medals and 28 bronze medals. The decorations were presented by the deputy voivode of Łódź - Marcin Buchali.
The Deputy Officer for Education in Łódź- Andrzej Krych presented the Medals of the Commission of National Education to 26 people. Badges of Merit for University of Technology were awarded to 19 staff members and 6 persons from outside the university. During the ceremony, awards and distinctions were also presented to students and graduates for outstanding achievements, as well as diploma theses. These include, the NOT award for the best TUL graduateopens in new window, as well as awards for students from companies with which the university cooperates: Veolia (list of awardeesopens in new window), Polmos Żyrardów and Stowarzyszenie Techników Cukrowników (list of awardeesopens in new window).
Honorary badges of Professor Senior were awarded to Prof. Marek Główka and Prof. Marian Zaborski from the Faculty of Chemistry.
