June 23 is the International Day of Women in Engineering. This celebration was initiated in 2014 by the Women's Engineering Society (established in London in 1919). On such an occasion, it is worth getting to know the engineers working at Lodz University of Technology, where you can conduct research in 12 disciplines. Among them are 4 engineering disciplines: chemical, land, materials and mechanical.

Aleksandra Kosmider, a student of biotechnology at Lodz University of Technology is one of the winners of the BioLab Programme for the academic year 2023-24. During her one-year academic internship at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, she will conduct research in immunology.

Lodz University of |Technology despite an increase in the number of universities competing in it from 1410 last year to 1591 in the current edition, managed to maintain its position from a year ago.

A team of Raptors from the Robotics Science Club SKaNeR at the TUL Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering took part in the anniversary Droniada, which ended on June 4th in Chorzów at the Mars Fields and the Muchowiec airport in Katowice. The students went there with their drones - Hexacopter and Mavik - and successfully competed in six competitions.
Lodz University of Technology, as an active member of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), invites all interested individuals, in particular the research and teaching staff of TUL (academic teachers and doctoral students) to a workshop dedicated to the research activities of ECIU, i.e. a wide range of scientific research and the new opportunities accompanying TUL's membership in this consortium (e.g. the possibility of participating in international grants).

The academic community of Lodz University of Technology is very proud of the title of European Tree of the Year 2023, which was awarded to Oak Fabrykant which grows in Bishop Klepacz Park on TUL campus. The university community decided to commemorate this achievement and founded a monument with a commemorative plaque informing of its successes.
The celebration of the 78th anniversary of the founding of the university on May 24 was an opportunity for the academic community to meet with the authorities of the province and the city numerous as well as many industry representatives, who listened to the speech delivered by the rector of TUL, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, concerning TUL successes and achievements of scientists and students during the passing academic year.
