It was precisely these issues that the workshop-like meeting organized in hybrid form by the Science Support Centre was devoted to.

After an informative introduction about the history and activities of the ECIU, researchers from Tampere University, University of Stavanger, University of Aveiro, Linkoping University - partner universities and coordinators of ECIU network research groups spoke. They presented the current work of the teams and encouraged cooperation.

At Lodz University of Technology, such coordinators are: in the field of Resilient Communities - Assoc. Prof. Malgorzata Hanzl, Circural Economy - Prof. Beata Gutarowska, Energy and Sustainability - Assoc. Prof. Pawel Rózga, Transport and Mobility - Assoc Prof. Damian Batory, Citizen Science - Assoc. Prof. Edyta Pietrzak.

Thanks to their membership in ECIU, the TUL employees have the opportunity to join the mobility support program - RMF (Researcher Mobility Fund). It assumes obtaining funding of up to PLN 25,000 for a trip to one of the partner universities. As Assoc. Prof. Agnieszka Dybała-Defratyka, acting director of the Science Support Center, explains:

The Mobility Support Program (Researcher Mobility Fund) is aimed at facilitating and supporting the mobility of TUL researchers. It is a very good opportunity to initiate international research cooperation and knowledge exchange between member institutions of the ECIU consortium. It is also an interesting proposal for people, especially young researchers who are just shaping their scientific careers to actively seek new research topics and establish professional contacts that in the future may result in joint projects, further internships, staff exchanges, which is a very important aspect in the scientific profession.
