This partnership aims to promote research outcomes and foster collaboration with industry, creating a bridge between Poland and the world-renowned Silicon Valley.

The International Cooperation Centre at Lodz University of Technology (TUL) is spearheading the innovative project ACE – Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education. This project, developed in collaboration with partners from Ireland, Serbia, Estonia, Denmark, and Germany, aims to strengthen social responsibility of higher education institutions and foster social innovation and the development of local communities. With the support of the Erasmus+ program, the university has secured €400,000 for its implementation.

Amidst the scenic beauty of Faro, Portugal, a remarkable event unfolded from July 9 to 13, part of the EQUNI project. This unique summer school brought together students, academics, and administrative staff from Lodz University of Technology, the University of Groningen, and the University of Algarve. Over several days, participants engaged in intensive training aimed at developing emotional intelligence and addressing discrimination within academic environments.

A breakthrough in European healthcare systems appears ever closer because of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) applications. The European Union, through its Interregional Investment in Innovation instrument granted more than €5.8 million from the prestigious Horizon Europe program on the project called VR Health Champions. Lodz University of Technology  is one of the 17 project partners who include universities and EIT Health companies from Portugal, Italy, Poland, Latvia, Germany, Hungary and Belgium.

In early July 2024, dr hab. inż. Katarzyna Znajdek, TUL prof., leader of the Thin Film Photovoltaics research group in the Department of Semiconductor and Optoelectronic Devices, returned from a fascinating month-long fellowship in Mexico. She conducted her research at El Instituto de Energías Renovables, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (IER-UNAM) in Temixco, Morelos.
