During the meeting with Rector Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik and ICC Head Assoc. Prof. Dorota Piotrowska, the possibilities of strengthening the existing cooperation were discussed. It was agreed that a Francophone Employment Centre (CEF) would be established at ICC—a flagship project by AUF—and it will be the first such centre in Poland. Its goal is to enhance employment opportunities and foster entrepreneurship among students within the French-speaking world.

- We discussed the creation of the Centre and a number of other international initiatives that the Centre will undertake both for Lodz University of Technology community and for the wider community of people who are united by ‘Francophonie’ and who do not even speak French today. We want Lodz University of Technology to strengthen its role as a leader in cooperation with francophone universities and to initiate new projects that will promote culture, technology and entrepreneurship, as well as strengthen the potential of the entire Lodz region - says Assoc. Prof. Dorota Piotrowska.

Already present in dozens of countries around the world, the centres offer a wide range of services, including career counselling, soft skills training and professional and language certification. This is particularly important for IFE students, especially those studying in French. The newly established Francophone Employment Centre will also serve the participants of the French Young Engineer Academy project as a venue for regular workshops related to learning and promoting the French language, as well as students of the French Club.
