Lodz University of Technology (Children's University of TUL) has established cooperation as a partner in the CU Green! project undertaken in the framework of the Mobility of Youth Workers Erasmus+ program.

Maciej Szulczewski, a Mechanical Engineering student in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering/IFE, was nominated for membership in the Student Council to the President of the Polish Space Agency. The nomination was presented by the President of the Polish Space Agency, prof. Grzegorz Wrochna.
The dissertation by Kacper Królewiak, submitted in fulfillment of the requirements for the award of the degree of inżynier, won 2nd prize in the National Competition Engineer 4 Science 2024 for the best dissertation on AI 4 Science.

Professor graduated from the Institute of Chemical Engineering at Lodz University of Technology (1983). He received his doctoral degree in 1999 and his postdoctoral degree in 2017, both from Lodz University of Technology.
Students pursing a degree in Architecture from Lodz University of Technology: Klaudia Wlazło, Milena Szudrowicz, Zuzanna Królewiak, Zofia Szczerba, Alicja Kielek, Martyna Gola and Dominika Lizis, may certainly consider their participation in the 18th National Architecture Students' Plein-Air Workshops fully successful. In the competition organized during the plein-air they won the main prizes, honorable mentions, and special prizes - altogether an overwhelming 8 out of 14 awards given by the jury. The supervisor of the TUL group was Dr Eng. arch. Joanna Matuszewska from the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning.

The President of the Republic of Poland conferred the title of professor of engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of chemical engineering on the researcher from the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering.
The publication of the results of the latest edition of the QS Europe rankings brought good news: Lodz University of Technology performed significantly well in the Outbound Exchange Students category and yet again was ranked 1st in the country and 89th in Europe.
A gold medal was awarded to Lodz University of Technology for the innovation ‘PLA composite, its fabrication technology, and its applications’ (patent number PCT/EP2024/052675) at the prestigious EUROINVENT 2024 European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation held in Iasi, Romania.

The students who have been doing the small wind turbine project (Generative Urban Small Turbine - GUST) won the finals of the International Small Wind Turbine Contest (ISWTC) 2024. Their innovative design triumphed in the Sustainability category.

As they say, time flies. Last week (2-4.07), for the tenth time, a regatta was held at the TUL sailing depot in Roganty. Twelve crews, each comprised of TUL faculty and other university units’ staff, raced for the rector’s cup.

The sixth Lektor High Tech Conference was organized by the Language Center of Lodz University of Technology. This year the catch phrase informing the discussions was 'Where AI and Creativity Converge, New Ideas Emerge!'

The Summer School at the University of Aveiro, part of the Math3DGeoVR project, attracted 25 students from five universities: Lodz University of Technology, the University of Silesia, the University of Aveiro, the University of Zilina and Tartu Ulikool, as well as 13 academic teachers. It was an intense, but energizing and growth-oriented week. The event took place from June 17 to 21, 2024.
