Featuring an innovative mobility program Challenge-Based Learning Minor, the JUMP project is designed to build student innovation and entrepreneurial competence. Students are expected to learn and gain the skills through hands-on experience by completing smaller in scope, focused courses and modules.
'The CBL Minor program consists of online micromodules, blended CBL projects, internships, and CBL dissertations. Students will be working on well-defined projects of genuine relevance to the community or field of study. The focus here will be on well-rounded learning as well as collaboration across disciplines and sectors to promote sustainable development in Europe. The program will draw on already existing European programs and plans so as to evolve and accomplish its goals,'
says prof. Jacek Sawicki, coordinator of the project at Lodz University of Technology.
Its main activities will include leveraging the Erasmus+ program to promote cooperation between European higher education institutions and stakeholders from the local community. They will also seek to foster dialogue between the four key sectors: business, academia, public administration, and society. Addressing public realm challenges by multinational, interdisciplinary teams of students armed with competence in innovation and entrepreneurship is what underpins these 'quadruple helix' efforts.
The project will run for 3 years, starting in September 2024. Its budget is €400,000.
