The official kick-off meeting for the project took place in Bucharest on January 23, 2025. Lodz University of Technology was represented by Assoc. Prof. Małgorzata Koszewska, Assoc. Prof. Andrzej Marcinkowski.

The project focuses on sustainable development reporting (SDR) as an element of corporate responsibility in today's business environment. It involves disclosing organizational results in environmental protection, social issues, and corporate governance, in accordance with the requirements of the ESG Directive (regarding environmental, social, and governance impact).

The goal of the project is to create an interdisciplinary research network focused on analyzing cultural and contextual factors shaping sustainable development reporting practices. The tasks of the Lodz University of Technology team include researching intercultural practices in responsible business management and developing framework structures for sustainable business models that take into account value chain information.

The STAR project aims to go beyond the current debate on the quality of sustainable development data and information by developing more effective reporting strategies.
