The Certification of Managers of the Łódź Voivodeship - a collaborative enterprise of the TUL's Faculty of Organization and Management and the Association Klub 500 - Łódź, is a paragon of business and academia partnership.
The anniversary gala was hosted by doc. Marek Sekieta, one of the originators. The speakers included TUL's rector Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, Vice President of Klub 500 - Łódź and also Chairwoman of the Chapter - Bożena Ziemniewicz, and the Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management Professor Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska. In their addresses, the speakers stressed that by participating in the certification process, managers have the opportunity to reflect upon their achievements, the way they approach management, as well as how they tap into the potential of the team they lead.
There are three types of certification awards: fundamental, operational, and strategic. The Chapter reviews formal qualifications, competencies and selected domains of professional expertise. The instruments used during the certification process include the candidate's self-assessment, knowledge test, case study and open questions, self-presentation, and competence interview.
This year, the Chapter comprised of representatives of the Klub 500 - Łódź, the Faculty of Organization and Management, and an external expert decided to award Certificates of Manager to 10 individuals.
The awarded certificates were presented to:
- the fundamental level awards: Agata Ernst (Infosys Poland), Beata Król (Inwedo Sp. z o.o.), and Aleksandra Pietrowska (Loftmill);
- the operational level awards: Michal Cnotalski (Corning Optical Communications Poland), Michal Czajkowski (BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o.), Izabela Grabowska (Faculty of Organization and Management, PŁ), Karina Rejs-Soucane (Amazon Fulfillment Center), Katarzyna Telega (Transfer Multisort Elektronik Sp. z o.o.), and Monika Tomaszewska (Strefa Edukacji Sp. z o.o., Lodz Special Economic Zone SA),
- the strategic level awards: Adam Jankowski (BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o.).
The gala featured artistic performances by award-winning students of the Henryk Wieniawski Primary and Secondary School of Music in Łódź: the guitar duo, Alicja Tomczyńska and Hubert Marczak, and the violin duo, Aniela Janiak and Michal Skibiński.
In the course of the 10 editions of the Łódź Voivodeship Certification of Managers 211 certificates were granted, including 103 at the fundamental level, 78 at the operational level, and 30 at the strategic level.
Experts appointed by the Faculty of Organization and Managementy and the Klub 500 - Łódź have been thinking of introducing modifications to the rules of future editions, to take into account the suggestions of the Chapter and the participants of the previous editions, as well as current social, technological, and market determinants.
