The aim of joint activities is to train human resources and develop technologies related to broadly defined safety and environmental protection. This will be achieved, among other things, through scientific and research projects and a greater number of joint scientific publications.
The document on cooperation was signed by the Rector Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik and SGSP Rector-Commander prof. Mariusz Feltynowski.

- The agreement opens new possibilities for us. We assume that our practical experience and the potential of both universities will bring good effects. Our training ground in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki will allow us to conduct scientific experiments connected with improving safety, especially in the field of industrial engineering or chemical safety - said after the ceremony the Rector-Commander, who in 2020 was the commander of the search and rescue group after the explosion of ammonium nitrate in Lebanon.

The existing cooperation with the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering is connected, among others, with jointly organised postgraduate studies, which have already been completed by more than 100 SGSP graduates.

 - The key word of this agreement is safety - emphasizes rector prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik. - Counteracting the risk of explosion in technological processes is a very important problem, just like fire safety. Our cooperation may extend to other fields and touch upon typical chemical problems, but also threats related to the functioning of machinery and electrical and mechanical equipment, or fire safety in the construction industry.
