The congratulations letter addressed to Prof. Kolesińska by the European Centre for the Development of the Economy states that what the Jury particularly appreciated is the contribution of the award-winner to the development of the region, her numerous research accomplishments, and a very impressive research career which is guided not only by the passion of for science, but also by the ambition to apply the research results in medicine, especially in regenerative medicine.
As the Head of the Peptide and Protein Chemistry and Engineering research group at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Prof. Kolesińska collaborates with research entities which carry out research and projects in the field of medicine, material and biomaterial engineering, as well as with industrial partners.
We are reminded that Prof. Beata Kolesińska received the Innovation Ambassador award from the European Centre for Economic Development in 2021, as well as the title of Scientist of the Future in 2019, as part of the Polish Intelligent Development Award. This award was granted, among others, for the development of innovative hybrid materials for tissue regeneration and hemostatic, resorbable dual-use dressings.
