The Quantum Technologies Cluster, Cluster Q, was established in 2022. Its goal is to develop the national potential of the scientific and research community and companies in quantum technologies.

Professor Paweł Strumiłło, TUL Vice-Rector for Development, said 'We are very happy to have joined this special group of partners. This is a new opportunity for scientists and students of Lodz University of Technology to advance cooperation with leading institutions and companies in this forward-looking research sector. Many thanks to dr Mirosław Sopek, chairman of the University Council, who serves as CEO at Quantum Chains, for his endorsement for Lodz University of Technology as a new member of Cluster Q. We have already formed an interdisciplinary initiative group that has been working on quantum technologies.

The Q Cluster operations are multi-faceted and provide end-to-end support for the formation and development of the quantum industry. They include competence development, integration of initiatives taken by a variety of stakeholders, multi-center research and development projects, and commercialization of their outputs.

Professor Konrad Banaszak of the University of Warsaw acts as the Chairman of the Cluster Council.
