Phillips Poland Sp. z o.o., together with the Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design, organised a competition for design students to design and create the technical documentation of a flap for the socket located on the truck tractor, i.e. the truck designed to pull semi-trailers. The winning design will be manufactured by the company.

Phillips Poland operates in the automotive industry, being a manufacturer of advanced electrical and pneumatic connector systems used by leading truck and trailer manufacturers. It is the European branch of the American company Phillips Industries, which has production plants in the USA, Canada, Mexico, China and Poland.
Third-year students of Visual Communication and Printing Techniques took part in the competition organised with the industrial partner. The designs were made under the direction of Dr. Maciej Jabłoński.
The Competition Committee selected three winners who received cash prizes, and the winner of the first prize, Bartosz Cepowski, will also receive a three-month internship at Phillips Poland. The second prize went to Anita Wasiak and the third to Aleksandra Grandys. Two distinctions were also awarded to Daria Jankiewicz and Julia Lewik.
The winners and their projects will be promoted by Phillips Poland Sp. z o.o. on the company's website and in social media. Photographic and film footage of the completed outlet flap will also be produced.
