The one proposal that was successfully submitted by TUL concerns the fields of study related to renewable energy and transportation, i.e., it focuses on the development of skills for strategic sectors of the economy.

Rector prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, who is the project manager, explained,

‘Our goal is to align Lodz University of Technology's offerings with the demands imposed by economic development as well as transformations that are expected to reverse the process of environmental degradation, while also benefiting production efficiency and contributing to social development. The funding provided thanks to the EU support will make it possible for students and staff to develop competences related to green transformation, universal design, as well as entrepreneurship and digital literacy. Naturally, the 5 years of the project will include a great variety of activities. One more important goal we will be trying to achieve is to decrease the drop-out rate, i.e., students withdrawing from their study programs before the award of a degree.

The project scope includes curriculum redesign in the fields of power engineering, transportation, electronics and telecommunications (in English) and logistics. Prominence will be given to renewable energy sources, modern vehicle control and safety systems, electromobility, autonomous vehicles, business process modeling in transportation and logistics.
