She is the founder of the Laboratory of Molecular Laser Spectroscopy at Lodz University of Technology. Prof. Abramczyk's scientific work is currently focused on cancer diagnostics using spectroscopic methods and concerns issues combining laser chemistry and physics, biology, medicine and medical diagnostics.
Prof. Halina Abramczyk co-founded the Polish school of molecular spectroscopy and biospectroscopy. She is a co-author of over 250 publications including those in international journals with the highest impact factor, monographs on laser physics and biomedicine and numerous lectures delivered, among others, at Stanford University, University of California and at national and international conferences.
The distinguished Professor is also a Fulbright Scholar (University of Arizona) and President of the Polish Fulbright Scholars Association. She is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Molecular Liquids.
