Lodz University of Technology will cooperate with the Municipal Investment Board as part of the "Dobre Praktyki … Buduj z nami Łódź" [Good Internship ... Build Lodz with us] project. Signing the letter of intent is the beginning of the road, and at its end students will gain knowledge and competences expected by the market of large infrastructural investments, including those connected with the area revitalisation programme.

Lodz University of Technology is a part of the new strategy of the city of Lodz, which is further proved by the signing of an agreement opening new perspectives of cooperation with a large city institution. The Municipal Investment Board [Zarząd Inwestycji Miejskich] is involved in projects that are interdisciplinary, where specialists from various fields are needed. This opens up new opportunities for our students.

The internship programme offered by the Municipal Investment Board is an attractive offer for our creative students full of potential. The cooperation may result in a synergy effect when joint activities allow achieving optimal benefits for Lodz, our university and future engineers. As a university we support initiatives that change the appearance of Lodz, therefore we are willing to engage in the development of infrastructural projects on a city-wide scale, says Rector Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik.

During the internship, students will be able to learn about the design and implementation of construction and urban development projects, as well as the design of various types of installations and technologies. The Municipal Investment Board, which currently employs 130 people, needs new employees, young people with energy and fresh ideas.

The document was signed by Agnieszka Kowalewska-Wójcik, director of the Municipal Investment Board in Łódź. As she emphasizes -

Dobre Praktyki. Buduj z nami Łódź [Good Internship. Build Lodz with us Lodz] is a project aimed at students of Lodz University of Technology. We invite all those who are creative, open to new challenges and who want to change our city. We manage our projects from the investment concept to final acceptance. We offer work experience, friendly atmosphere and for the best ones - a job offer. Participation in the programme is free of charge.

This initiative is important because the city has many investments planned.

We are in the eve of large infrastructural projects and we need the support of young technical staff - says the head of the Municipal Investment Board.

The internship will be open to about 50 students from higher years of studies, who already have a certain amount of knowledge and competences, which they will be able to use and develop in confrontation with real problems.
