The second edition of the mobility programme was addressed to the top doctoral candidates from Poland and abroad enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School at Lodz University of Technology. Participants will undertake one- and two-month international research placements at renowned academic and research institutions worldwide.

Host institutions include, among others, Carnegie Mellon University (USA), Institute of Science Tokyo (Japan), Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), University of Genoa (Italy), University of Valencia (Spain), Ontario Tech University (Canada), Central European Institute of Technology (Czech Republic), and Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Germany). During their mobility periods, doctoral candidates will conduct research, develop their doctoral projects, and gain experience in an international academic environment.

Participants can count on funding for travel expenses as well as a lump-sum allowance covering living and accommodation costs, the amount of which depends on the destination country. This arrangement allows doctoral candidates to focus on achieving their research goals and to make the most of their time abroad.

These international placements align with the internationalization strategy of Lodz University of Technology and efforts to enhance the quality of doctoral education. The outcomes of the mobility programme will include not only new research results and scientific publications, but also the development of long-term relationships with international partners. The experience gained will benefit both the participants’ future research work and the strengthening of the international standing of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School at Lodz University of Technology.
