The grant of 149,659 zł is for the renovation of the building currently housing the offices of the rector of Lodz University of Technology. The main entrance door, the west side entrance door, and the balustrades of the quarter-circle balconies on the west side of the building will be renovated. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024.
Józef Richter’s villa was built in 1898-1899. It was designed by a Viennese architect Karl Seidl and was one of three buildings in the residential and factory complex owned by the Czech, Richter family. Today, the villa is listed in the register of cultural property, and is one of the prime landmarks on the map of palaces and villas located of the region of Łódź.
