Rector prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, former rector prof. Sławomir Wiak, and dr inż. Ewelina Pabjańczyk-Wlazło were admitted to The Academy of Engineering in Poland. The official induction into this highly selective body - the number of members is limited to 300, was held in mid-December during the 42nd General Assembly hosted by Poznan University of Technology.

The Academy of Engineering in Poland (AIP) was founded in 1992 due to the efforts of The  NOT Polish Federation of Engineering Associations. Admission to AIP is preceded by a recommendation and voting by its members. Recommended are researchers with a proven track record of contributions to the advancement of technical and engineering sciences, technology, and environmental protection.

Two other professors from TUL, namely Jacek Stawicki and Wojciech Stachurski, who were previously accepted into the Academy, were presented with  membership cards and acceptance certificates in Poznań.

The Academy of Engineering in Poland is a member of the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technical Sciences (CAETS).
