Embassy of Switzerland in Poland in cooperation with Lodz University of Technology, in the lobby of the Faculty of Chemistry building - "Alchemium - the magic of tomorrow's chemistry", will present a mobile exhibition CLEANTECH dedicated to clean technologies

The official opening of the exhibition will take place on 8 March (Tuesday) at 10.30 a.m. with the participation of the Rector of the Lodz University of Technology, Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik and the Head of the Economic, Financial and Scientific Section of the Swiss Embassy in Poland, Mr Pablo Padrutta. The ceremonial opening of the exhibition will also be attended by the Vice-President of Łódź - Adam Pustelnik and Tomasz Wolanowski - President of the Management Board of ABB in Poland.

Then, at 11:00, a seminar will start, entitled "The significance of new technologies in sustainable development", which will be conducted by Dr. Monika Malinowska-Olszowy, TUL Professor.

The seminar will be attended by Tomasz Wolanowski, president of ABB. ABB is an international corporation with headquarters in Zurich. It operates in such industries as automation, robotics and energy. During the presentation he will talk about the role of technology for a more sustainable future. Dr Eng. Aleksandra Ziemiańska-Stolarska, from the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering will present the leading role of Lodz University of Technology in the Baltic University Programme. Members of Lodz University of Technology Sustainable Development Team will present the report Lodz University of Technology on the path of sustainable development .

After the seminar, students of Lodz University of Technology will present their work and projects in the field of sustainable development. The student seminar will be hosted by Dr Eng. Irena Jałmużna from the Faculty of Organisation and Management. The exhibition will be available for viewing at Alchemium until Tuesday, 29 March.
