The latest list, August 2025 data-update for Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators, prepared by Stanford University, includes the top 2% most influential scientists worldwide. The ranking is based on data from the Scopus database, and inclusion depends not on the number of publications but on the actual impact on the development of science.
