On February 19, we celebrate Polish Science Day—a holiday of inspiration, intellectual courage, and steadfast pursuit of the unknown. At Lodz University of Technology, we mark this occasion with particular enthusiasm, as the University’s mission is inseparably linked with seeking innovative solutions and conducting top-level research.

We invite you to watch a short video presenting selected current research projects carried out at Lodz University of Technology. These are just a few examples of the work of young scientists whose ideas help improve the quality of life.

Prof. Łukasz Albrecht, Vice-Rector for Science, extends his best wishes on this occasion:

Celebrated on the birthday of Nicolaus Copernicus, Polish Science Day is an excellent opportunity to thank the entire community of Lodz University of Technology for their curiosity, sense of responsibility, and the daily effort they devote to pursuing research and enhancing the University’s reputation.

This holiday has been observed annually since 2020. Professor Albrecht adds:

On this special day, I wish you courage in formulating ambitious research hypotheses, satisfaction from your scientific discoveries, and favourable conditions for implementing bold research projects. May your scientific work be recognised both in Poland and abroad, leading not only to valuable publications, innovative solutions, and implementations, but also inspiring younger generations to follow the scientific path.
