The Council for the Quality of Education within a university-wide unit at Lodz University of Technology focuses on implementing the objectives of the university’s internal quality assurance system in education. Its main areas of activity include:
- cooperation with Field of Study Councils and teaching units: coordinating activities related to the organization and continuous improvement of study programmes.,
- analysis of data related to education, including verifying the consistency of course descriptions/syllabi with study programs, analysing the subject-matter qualifications of teaching staff, supporting the development of their teaching competences, and evaluating their academic expertise,
- supporting innovative teaching methods: initiating and promoting creative and innovative teaching approaches among academic staff,
- internal quality self-assessmen: conducting internal evaluations of activities aimed at improving the quality of education within university-wide units,
- reporting: preparing annual reports on the evaluation of educational quality for approval by the Vice-Rector for Education,
- providing information on the quality of education: publishing data on educational quality on the websites of the relevant teaching units.
