Dr. Szymon Szufa, PhD, DSc, Eng., a university professor at the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering at Lodz University of Technology, is a leading researcher in the field of chemical engineering. Professor Szufa conducts pioneering work on biomass valorization and the development of modern biorefineries. His work is characterized by a high degree of interdisciplinarity, combining ecological, economic, and legal aspects of energy production. His publications, including those on biomass-coal co-firing, provide hard scientific evidence supporting energy transition processes in Poland and Europe.
