LIDER is a programme addressed to young scientists. Its objective is to increase the competence of young scientists in independent planning of research work and managing their own research team during implementation of research projects, the results of which may have practical applications and implementation potential. The amount of allocation in the competition is PLN 80 million, of which 10% is a reserve for appeals. The call for grant applications takes place between 18 January and 18 March 2021. (by 4:15 p.m.).

The programme is addressed to:

  • doctoral students,

  • academic teachers without a doctoral degree,

  • persons holding a doctoral degree for less than 7 years (this period does not include breaks related to leaves referred to in the Rules of Competition), and who are employed in an entity referred to in Article 7(1) of the Law on Higher Education and Science,

  • persons holding the degree of doktor habilitowany, provided that no more than 7 years have passed since obtaining the PhD degree (this period does not include breaks related to leaves referred to in the Rules of the Competition), and at the same time, who are employed in an entity referred to in Article 7(1) of the Act on Higher Education and Science.

The applicant applies to the programme together with the Unit, which can be a research organisation (public or private) carrying out scientific research or development work. Thematic scope: Applications can be submitted for applied research, development research. According to the guidelines in the competition, there is no thematic limitation.

Funding rules:

The maximum amount of project funding is PLN 1.5 million. Detailed information on the competition can be found on the website.

The application for financing should be prepared in accordance with the Instructions for filling in the application for financing LIDER XII The application form should be submitted only using the Application Generator in the IT system under the LIDER Programme.
