Students are entitled to apply for material support in the form of:

  • need-based scholarship,
  • scholarship for persons with disabilities,
  • hardship benefits,
  • Rector's scholarship.

A need-based scholarship may be awarded to a student in a difficult financial situation, whose monthly net income per family member does not exceed the threshold specified in a separate message on the amounts of individual types of benefits, agreed with the Student Government

In particularly justified cases, the student may receive an increased amount of a need-based scholarship.

A scholarship for persons with disabilities may be awarded to a student holding a disability certificate, a certificate of degree of disability or a certificate referred to in article 5 and article 62 of the Act of 27 August 1997 on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities.

The amount of the scholarship depends on the degree of disability.

Hardship benefits may be awarded to students who are experiencing temporary difficult life situations.

The rector's scholarship for students may be awarded to a student who has achieved outstanding academic results, scientific or artistic achievements, or sports achievements in competition at least at the national level.

The scholarship may be awarded to:

  1. a student admitted to the first year of study in the year of passing the matura exam, who meets at least one of the following conditions:
    1. student is a winner of the international Olympiad or a winner or a finalist of the Central Olympiad referred to in the provisions on the education system,
    2. student is a current medalist of at least a sports competition for the title of Polish Champion in a given sport, referred to in the provisions of the Act on Sport;
  2. a student of the first year of second-cycle studies, who achieved outstanding academic results during first-cycle studies;
  3. a student enrolled in the third or higher semester of first-cycle studies, or in the second or higher semester of second-cycle studies, who in the preceding semester (prior to submitting the application) achieved academic, artistic, or sports results in competitions at least at the national level, assessed in accordance with the rules set out in the Regulations.

The amounts of scholarships are set out in the message on the amounts of individual types of scholarships for students of Lodz University of Technology in the winter semester of the academic year 2025/2026.

From the academic year 2024/2025, the Rector's Scholarship, need-based scholarship and scholarship for persons with disabilities is awarded on a semester basis, i.e. for a semester.

As a reminder reminder, applications for material support should be generated via the Online Dean's Office and delivered at the designated dates and places in accordance with the procedures described in the message on the modes, forms and deadlines for submitting applications for material support for the students of TUL in the academic year 2025/26.
