The scope of the Museum's activities includes collecting, storing, conserving, making available and disseminating collections related to the history, tradition and activity of Lodz University of Technology in order to preserve material and non-material academic heritage, covering the period from the beginning of the 19th century to the present.


The Museum collects in particular:

  • documents and archives related to the history and tradition of the University and its units,

  • distinctions, medals, commemorative diplomas and awards given to the University, its employees, graduates and students,

  • insignia and toga,

  • scripts, old textbooks, brochures, charts and didactic films,

  • souvenirs and personal documents of outstanding academics, honoris causa doctors, and students of the University,

  • films and photographs related to university ceremonies, University authorities, academics and the University's facilities and laboratories,

  • documents concerning cooperation with other academic centers,

  • former research apparatus and instruments, devices related to scientific and didactic activity and laboratory equipment.
