Requirements

  • MSc Degree in Computer Science or in Telecommunications
  • Strong research interests, authorship or co-authorship of research papers
  • Competence in signal processing
  • Experience with developing deep learning or pattern recognition algorithms
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and C++
  • Good communication and writing skills in English (at least at B2 level)

Duties and responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of signal processing algorithms
  • Design and implementation of analog-hardware-friendly machine learning methods.
  • Design and execution of chip prototype testing experiments
  • Analysis of experimental data, evaluation and fine-tuning of methods
  • Participation in preparation of research papers

Conditions of Employment:

Monthly compensation: 2000,00 Polish zlotys

The position is available from March 1st 2022 to August 31st, 2022.

Project’s scope

Project’s objective is to design, manufacture and test an application-specific VLSI analog integrated circuit that analyzes data provided by FMCW (Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave) radar for the purpose of vital sign detection and estimation of vital process parameters. A task assigned to a Lodz University of Technology team is to develop analog-hardware friendly algorithms and architectures, including machine learning methods that enable task realization.
